AI Act: Europa leidt met regels voor betrouwbaar AI
Europa zet een grote stap voorwaarts in het reguleren van Kunstmatige Intelligentie (AI) met de nieuwe Artificial Intelligence Act, gericht op het waarborgen van veiligheid, respecteren van fundamentele rechten en het ondersteunen van bedrijvigheid in het digitale tijdperk.
De nieuwe AI Act stelt omvattende regels vast voor het gebruik van AI, met specifieke verboden op sociaal scoren en AI die menselijke kwetsbaarheden manipuleert. Er zijn strikte voorwaarden voor hoog-risico AI systemen, inclusief het recht van burgers om klachten in te dienen. Voor algemene AI systemen worden transparantie en efficiëntie vereisten gesteld. Daarnaast introduceert de wet maatregelen ter ondersteuning van innovatie en MKB's, met strenge boetes voor niet-naleving.
